The World Pharmacist Day Celebrations at N.E.T. Pharmacy College, Raichur, took place on 26th September 2024, with the theme “Pharmacists: Meeting global health needs." The event was held in the Central Library AV Room and began with a formal welcome of the dignitaries on the dais, including Dr. H. Doddayya, Principal of N.E.T. Pharmacy College; Mr. Uday Kishore, Assistant Drug Controller at the Drug Control Department in Raichur; and Dr. Ramesh Babu, Director at the Dr. N. K. Bhat Centre for Clinical Simulation & Research, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur. Dr. Sarfaraz Md, Professor & Head Department of Pharmaceutics at N.E.T. Pharmacy College, served as the convener.
The programme featured an invocation song by Ms. Pragathi and Shraddha, followed by a welcome speech by Dr. T. Shivaraj Gouda, Professor & HOD Department of Pharmacology. The lamp lighting ceremony was conducted by the dignitaries, after which Dr. Chandramouli, Professor Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, introduced the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Mr. Uday Kishore and Dr. Ramesh Babu then delivered their addresses, followed by presidential remarks from Dr. H. Doddayya.
A Pharmacist oath was administered by Dr. Sarfaraz Md, and a felicitation ceremony followed. Mr. Manjunath CJ, Associate Professor Department of Pharmacology, gave the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a video presentation on Pharmacist Day, the National anthem, and high tea.
