The NSS Unit of NET Pharmacy College, Raichur has celebrated NSS Day on 24-09-2019. A formal Pooja was performed to father of the nation Mahatma Gandhiji. The celebrations of the program began with NSS Flag Hoisting by the chief guest Brigadier Dr.Ashok Mahindrakar, Medical Superintendent,Navodaya Medical college Hospital & Research Centre along with Dr.H.Doddayya ,Principal and Chairman of NSS Unit, N.E.T.Pharmacy College and Mr.Binu K  NSS coordinator of the College were present. Addressing the NSS Cadets the chief guest described about red colour in the flag signifies energy and spirit displayed by the NSS volunteers. The blue colour signifies the cosmos of which the NSS is a tiny part ready to contribute its share for the welfare of the mankind. Chief Guest also highlighted the responsibilities of the NSS volunteers in improving literacy, health needs and information regarding medicines to the society. The NSS volunteers also should extend their helping hand during natural disasters like earthquake, floods, tsunami etc.The patriotic theme song was sung by Miss Praise and Group. On this occasion an NSS Oath was administered by Miss Tanvi Goel to the NSS Cadets. The program was anchored by Mr. Pawan Mootha, Lecturer Dept of Pharmaceutical chemistry.
