REPORT ON NATIONAL EYE DONATION WEEK
1st SEPTEMBER 2022
The NSS unit of NET pharmacy college has conducted organised eye donation week fortnight celebration on 1st September 2022.The programme was held in library. Principal, Dr. H. Doddaya presided the function. The programme was conducted in association with ophthalmology department of Navodaya Medical College Hospital and Research Centre ,Raichur. A group of 5 members from the ophthalmology department came to create awareness among the students about eye donation. Dr. Abdul Waheed, Assistant Professor, Dept of Ophthalmology ,NMCH & RC shared the lecture about eye donation and its importance. At the end nearly 25 students were willing to donate their eyes after death. Interested candidates were given with the eye donation forms. About 120 students from different batches of pharmacy attended the lecture. Ms. praise merin, pharm. D intern anchored the programme.
