The Central library spreads over to ground plus two floors. It is centrally air-conditioned, well-protected with fire alarm, Flap Barrier and CCTV surveillance. It has specialized collections ofBooks, Journals & other resources in Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, SocialSciences and Management ranging from printed books, e-books, back volumes and CDsDVDs. TheCentral Library subscribes to national and international journals in print and e-Journals. The libraryhas a video conferencing facility and NPTEL video courses, ePG Pathashala, Swayam Programmeand other E-Learning resources initiated by Government of India. Central Library is using Easylibsoftware for Library automation and implemented RFID technology with self-issue and return kiosk,and online renewal facility.

Students are encouraged to participate in competitions held across country and outsidecountry. NIT conducts sports and games as a part of college annual technical festival NITOTSAVA.NIT Students participated in university, state and national & international level tournaments.
