As a part of curriculum first year Diploma students ( 52 students ) have visited to local Raichur Indian Medical Association Common Treatment Plant (RIMACT) i.e Biomedical waste management plant on 24/ 04/ 24 at 10:00 a.m. along with the teachers Mrs. Aparna Lakshmi and Dr.S.Rahul to learn the certain techniques related to biomedical waste management such as Incinerators for the treatment of waste under category 1 and 2 (i.e. yellow category) , Autoclave for the treatment of waste under the category 3,4,6 & 7( i.e. blue category) , Metal sharps manager for the treatment of metal sharps under category 4 (Red category) , land filling for the incinerators ash, chemicals etc. The unit head Mr. Jay Kumar and Supervisor Mr Mohammed Ibrahim explained in detail about techniques for recycle. Every student has understood the techniques and clarified their doubts. Students were happy with the visit. Overall the visit was very informative and memorable one.
