NSS unit of NET Pharmacy College organized world Pharmacist Day celebrations on 25-09-2018 in AV Hall, Central Library. The program started with invocation song by Mr. Athul. Mrs. Nimmy John welcomed the gathering.  Principal Dr. H Doddayya presided over the Function. Dr. R H Udupi the guest of honour and Dr. T Shivaraj Gouda the Resource person were also on the dais. The formal function was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. Dr. H Doddayya addressing the audience on the occasion described that the theme of world Pharmacist Day “Your Medicines Experts” is quite meaningful. He told that the Pharmacist should have thorough knowledge of medicines and they should dispense with at most care. The Pharmacist apart from acquiring knowledge of medicines has the knowledge of different branches of science and therefore he plays a very responsible role. Dr. R H Udupi speaking on the occasion described the way the Pharmacy profession developed in the country after the implementation of Pharmacy Act in 1948. He insisted that strict implication of regulatory measures is much essential and the drugs should not be delivered without the prescription. Hence it is a duty of present Pharmacist to bring the awareness among the illiterate class of the society. The Resource person Dr. T Shivaraj Gouda highlighted the various points related to the theme of the Pharmacist Day. The 5^th Pharm D students the organisers of the program displayed the video of the way the College has celebrated world Pharmacist Day in previous years. On this occasion Mrs Nimmy John, assistant professor & Miss Athira of Pharm D course conducted Competition of identifying Pharmacy emblems & prizes were distributed to the winners. Dr. Chandramouli administered Pharmacy Oath to the students & Pharmacists. Dr. Sunil Kumar B gave vote of thanks. Miss Amrutha & Mr. Amal K anchored the program. As a part of celebrations cake cutting by the staff and students was also arranged.

The NSS Unit of N.E.T Pharmacy College has actively rendered its services in Pulse Polio Immunization Program, arranged by District Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka Raichur.

During 28^th to 31^st January 2018, 24 volunteers  participated in the pulse plio immunization programme. The students were divided into 4 groups and helped in the pulse polio immunization centers in the IDSMT, IB Road Sathyanath colony and at PHC Zaheerabad, Raichur.

NSS Program Officer Mr Binu K.M   inspected the polio centers and guided the volunteers.

The NSS unit of Prestigious N.E.T Pharmacy College Raichur celebrated World Environment day in the AV Auditorium of central library. Dr. Shivkumar Matur, HOD Pharmacy Practice Department Presided over the function. Dr Shivaraj Gouda, Mr Ramesh Kumar Babu Gattu and Mr. BinuK Mathew were on the stage. Dr Shivkumar Matur highlighted the importance, need and significance of world environment day celebration. Dr. Shivraj Gouda explained in his talk harmful effects of plastic on the environment. Mr. Binu narrated the future plans of NSS activities. Mr Ramesh Babu Gattu briefed the history and development of environmental protection and its uses. Ms. Nikitha Reddy displayed the video clips of world environment day celebration anduse of plastic how Badly effects health and global environment. Mrs. Pradnya Patil welcomed gathering and Miss Tanvi Goyal gave the vote of thanks. The Programme was anchored by Miss Athira. The function Concluded with a National Anthem by Praise & Group

NSS unit of   N.E.T Pharmacy College, celebrated World Health Day which is celebrated every year on 7^th April in AV room of central library, in addition to this it was also the day for inauguration of NSS Special camp.
