The NSS unit of N.E.T Pharmacy College observed World Blood Donor Day on June 14, 2024, in the AV room of the central library.

The programme began with a beautiful invocation song performed by Miss Shradha and her team, setting the tone for the event with their melodious voices. Dr. Muhsin, lecturer Department of Pharmacy Practice NET Pharmacy College, extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, dignitaries on the dais and off the dais, as well as other staff members and students at the event. The bouquet was presented to all the dignitaries on the dais as a gesture of appreciation and honor. Mrs. Aparna Lakshmi, Assistant Professor at N.E.T. Pharmacy College, introduced the chief guest and resource person with respect and enthusiasm.
Chief guest Dr. Narayan Pendlikal, RMO at NMRCH & RC, Raichur, addressed the gathering and shared insights on World Blood Donors Day, enlightening everyone with his knowledge and experience. Dr. H Doddayya, the President, shared his remarks on World Blood Donors Day and also spoke on the importance of the occasion. The event then proceeded with the release of Pharma Focus and the felicitation of the resource person.Certificates were awarded to students and staff for their voluntary blood donation, recognizing their selfless contribution to saving lives and inspiring others to follow suit. The session proceeded with a compelling lecture by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Ashraf Ahmed Zubair, MD Pathology. Dr. Zubair discussed the essential aspects of blood donation and inspired students to step forward for voluntary blood donation in the days ahead.
All the PharmD, D.Pharm students, and NSS volunteers actively participated on the day of the event. This event aimed to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products, and to express gratitude to blood volunteers and unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. A warm and sincere vote of thanks was graciously presented by Mr. Rohit Bhandari from the Department of Pharmaceutics at N.E.T. Pharmacy College. The program came to a close with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a delightful high tea for all attendees.
