The inaugural programme of different pharmacy courses of N.E.T. Pharmacy College for academic year 2017-18 was held in Dr.C.M. Gurumurthy Hall on 02.08.2017 at 10AM by performing pooja to goddess Saraswathi. Dr.T.Srinivas, Registrar, NET Raichur was Chief guest & Dr.B Vijayachandra, Principal NMC Raichur and Dr.Ashok Mahendrakar, Medical Superintendent NMCH&RC, Raichur were the guest of honors. Dr H.Doddayya, Principal NET Pharmacy College was the president of the function.
The function was started with an invocation song by Ms. G Madhuri. Dr. Sarfraz MD welcomed the gathering and Dr.Shrishail Patil introduced the guests to the audience. The programme was followed by brief introduction of B.Pharm , M.Pharm , Pharma.D & D.Pharm courses by Dr. Shivkumar, Mr. Binu KM & Dr. Pradnya Patil respectively. The chief guest Dr.T.Srinivas in his address motivated the freshers student to be honest and disciplined and also to cherish the every moment of their stay at Navodaya campus. He also narrated the significant role of pharmacist in the health care management. Dr. Ashok Mahendrkar explained the importance of discipline and time management in the studies. In his presidential address, Dr.H.Doddayya said that the management has already provided excellent facilities for the efficient learning and comfortable stay and insisted the students to follow the academic track record of the college. He also informed that, the stress management committee comprising of principals of Navodaya group of institutions, psychiatrists and psychologists is constituted to solve the stress related problems of students.
On this occasion, latest issue of pharmacy practice department newsletter “ Pharma focus was released by the dignitaries on the dais. Dr.T.Shivaraja Gouda reciprocated pharmacist oath to the freshers.
Dr. Santosh Hunsigi, Principal Dental college, Dr. Koushik Reddy Principal Physiotherapy college, Mrs. Sujatha laxmi, Principal Nursing college, Dr. Mallikarjun, Principal Engineering has attend the programme.
The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.Sunil Kumar B followed by National anthem. The programme was anchored by Ms. Merin & Mr. Fine one laloo.
