NATIONAL PHARMACY WEEK CELEBRATION
Theme: “Pharmacist for Healthy India”
The students of fifth Pharm.D and Pharm.D Interns of N.E.T Pharmacy College, Raichur participated in a community visit to Singanodi organised by Department of Pharmacy Practice in association with NSS unit of the college, on the occasion of 55th National Pharmacy Week celebrated throughout India during 20th November-26th November. The theme of National Pharmacy Week 2016 is Pharmacist for Healthy India: Prevention and Management of Diabetes. The students felt as a great opportunity and took it as a challenge to serve the poor and underprivileged section of the society living in a village. The Principal, Dr.H.Doddayya took initiative in planning and organising the visit and our beloved staff Mr.Surfaraz M.D, Assistant Professor, Mr.Binu K.M and Dr.Muralikrishna.K, lecturers guided us during our visit to the village. Dr.Pavan, Department of Community Medicine, Navodaya Medical College supported in the successful conduction of the event. During the visit to the different streets of the village, students met the public and gave advice to the people regarding the symptoms, prevention and management of the diabetes. We all enjoyed the visit and felt self-satisfied for the selfless service rendered and waiting for such several opportunities.
